MVS Group and Diginonymous announce global cooperation; a first in the world of Mobile Satcoms.

MVS Group, a premier mobile satcoms and data network operator, are pleased to announce the first launch of Diginonymous technology inside a mobile satcom network, fueling their customers technologies needs worldwide.

First in customer solutions in the Inmarsat world; MVS Group an Inmarsat worldwide partner and operator for over 15 years, has taken its 'solutions driven' business model and stepped up the volume.

MVS is the first company to successfully integrate Diginonymous secure data protocols into both its mobile satcom and land based data networks merging mobile and land securecoms seamlessly. As the exclusive premier launch partner of Diginonymous technology into the mobile satcoms environment, MVS Group takes pride in its achievements and the value this move brings to its customers.

Deborah Deffaa , Executive Director of MVS Group said, "This technology teaming is very exciting for MVS. This network enhancement makes MVS Group the first mobile satellite communications company in the world to have a complete secure communications product suite built inside their network. The pairing of Diginonymous data management software and the MVS globalnet data network is changing the way mobile communication is done both on land and sea.

The weakness in all mobile satcoms has always been the point in the network where mobile meets terrestrial. Packet loss, disconnect, intersect all happen at that point. Not with the new MVSnet with DigiGone inside . No one will ever be able to tamper with your data again even when jumping from land to sea and back.

As a Distribultion Partner for Inmarsat. MVS is now introducing the new class of Inmarsat's SwiftBroadband service.

SwiftBroadband 200 (SB200) is designed to extend the benefits of MVS's product services to smaller aircraft and provide a more cost-effective solution for IP communications for aircraft operators.

Available in the footprint of all three I-4 satellites, an SB200 installation will provide standard IP data up to 200kbps, circuit-switched voice telephony, and streaming IP data up to 16kbps. Since its introduction in 2007, SwiftBroadband has enabled cockpit, cabin and operational applications through one installation using a single high- or intermediate-gain antenna on the aircraft. With the introduction of the SB200 service, the hardware manufacturers will be able to develop smaller, lighter systems and antenna, reducing the purchase and installation costs. This, together with the smaller form factor, will enable the installation of SwiftBroadband on smaller aircraft than was previously possible, in all sectors of aviation. The first SB200s based on existing SwiftBroadband systems are expected to be commercially available from manufacturers at the end of 2010.

Clinton Ferrying Satellite Gear to Quake-Hit Chile
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Monday she will bring 20 satellite phones and a technician with her when she visits earthquake-damaged Chile.

The gear and expertise are a down payment on help the United States intends to provide following last week's massive quake in Chili. Clinton was stopping briefly Tuesday in the capital as part of a Latin American trip rearranged because of the disaster.

"We are bringing some of what they asked for which are satellite phones," Clinton told reporters on the way to Buenos Aires, Argentina.

"One of their biggest problems has been communications as we found in Haiti in those days after the quake," Clinton said.

She noted that Chile's communications system was much more advanced before the quake than Haiti's, but she said communication with hard-hit Concepcion is difficult.
